Why Worship Service Reservations?

As the numbers have continued to trend in a positive direction surrounding COVID-19 we have reached the next phase in the reopening process, which involves reopening campus with a modified ministry and worship schedule.

So, starting Sunday, October 18th, we will begin to have reduced capacity, in-person Sunday worship gatherings. The goal in this phase of the reopening plan is to create a safe campus environment that will enable us to remain safely open. The initial Sunday worship gatherings will be at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to provide for the appropriate sanitizing and disinfecting that is necessary to have a safe environment for all ages and stages for those who attend C.B.C.

Seating for the Sunday worship gatherings will be 25% of our Sanctuary’s seating capacity. Because of this reality, reservations will be required for the Sunday Worship Gatherings. In addition, to be able to plan and prepare safe environments for the nursery and Kids Konnection ministries, reservations will also be required. Reservations will be available every Monday for the upcoming Sunday and can be made on the church website or by calling the church office.

Some additions guidelines that will be in place in order to reach the goal that we have as a church to create a safe campus environment that will enable us to remain safely open include the following:

• With the exception of children in the nursery or individuals on the stage in the sanctuary using microphones, masks will be required to be worn while on campus. Masks have been demonstrated to slow and stop the spread of COVID-19 by 75% in the state of Arizona by a CDC study that was released on October 9th. For those individuals who have a medical condition that causes them to be unable to ear a mask, special accommodations will be made.

• Reservations will be limited to 50 individuals (7th Grade and older) for the Sunday gatherings. For those who do not have a preference and are willing, please consider attending the 5 p.m. Sunday gathering. This will help those who can only attend the 10 a.m. Sunday gathering have the opportunity to do so.

• Social distancing will also be implemented in all ministry environments on campus. Members of the 1st Impressions Team will seat those attending our Sunday gatherings to help facilitate a safe campus environment that will enable us to remain safely open. Kids Konnection will also be implementing social distancing.

• During the initial reopening of campus for Sunday corporate worship, the Courtyard Coffeehouse will not be providing coffee or donuts. In addition, the water fountains will not be available. Bottled water will be available for those who need something to drink.

As we have talked about throughout this season, I continue to be encouraged by how so many of you have seized the opportunities that God has provided you in the midst of this adversity to bring the light and love of the kingdom of heaven into your areas of influence. I look forward to seeing this continue as we enter into this next phase of reopening campus. The impact of the selfless investing of your time, talent, and treasure is having an eternal impact in the lives of our community and I look forward to hearing how God is going to use you in the upcoming weeks!
